The concept of playing a game within a game is really cool, especially considering that you are controlling the person/monster.
I love the art style of the game, it’s very well done. That the room has subtle elements to it, like the books falling or the light flickering helps the atmosphere a lot and makes you wonder what you picked up on your way home.
Seeing the monster for the first time does remove some of the tension, but other than that the game has you constantly on the hook, wondering what’s gonna happen next
This Game had me on the edge of my chair while playing it. Too bad it was a short game but still enjoyed it. Heres my playthrough on if your interested.

Amazing concept! I want to see more. It seems that the game we play is cursed and anyone who plays it is unfortunate. This was a very refreshing experience well done.
An unexpected indie horror classic. The entire experience was expertly choreographed--innocent little platformer, the typically solitary gameplay in a dark room (BTW play this with headphones). Jesus Christ, how did you (Hengikken) rope me in? I'd have risen from my chair at the first odd noise, and definitely at the door mysteriously opening, but even though I as the player am not given that liberty, the whole thing absolutely works! Gorgeous contrast of realism on the player-character's side vs the old-school display. Recommended!

Very well done. I love the game within a game effect for horror games because it tends to make you drop your guard and it is used really well here.
I really wish there was more, I'm excited to see if it gets expanded on
DEV PLEASE MAKE IT LONGER (pause)😂
