On your way home you find an old cartridge that turns out to be an old game. Being the youtube hog that you are, you pick it up and bring it back home. The urge to play is stronger than anything else, even your dinner remains untouched, but your console doesn't.
A two-dimensional platform game begins to unfold. It's mechanism is simple. Move forward and backward with 'A' and 'B' on your console, jump with your 'spacebar' and that's it.
Or is it...?
What a delightful game to play. The premise might look 'simplistic' but in reality it is everything but. Your train of thought reminds me of one of my other fav DEVs, Niven Hedinger, who also comes up with nice twists and turns to keep us gamers/youtubers engaged in thrilling horror games. Of course, you stand on your own 2 feet, so kudos to you and everyone else involved.
I didn't run into any bugs, hiccups or other snags, so thanks for making this game! I really enjoyed playing it.
The concept of playing a game within a game is really cool, especially considering that you are controlling the person/monster.
I love the art style of the game, it’s very well done. That the room has subtle elements to it, like the books falling or the light flickering helps the atmosphere a lot and makes you wonder what you picked up on your way home.
Seeing the monster for the first time does remove some of the tension, but other than that the game has you constantly on the hook, wondering what’s gonna happen next
This Game had me on the edge of my chair while playing it. Too bad it was a short game but still enjoyed it. Heres my playthrough on if your interested.
I Just Played This Game In My 20 Scary Game Video, I Wanted To Make A Big Video On All The Best Horror Games On Itch And I Covered This Game And Time Stamped It In The Description Of The Video, Thanks For The Awesome Scary Game <3
Amazing concept! I want to see more. It seems that the game we play is cursed and anyone who plays it is unfortunate. This was a very refreshing experience well done.
An unexpected indie horror classic. The entire experience was expertly choreographed--innocent little platformer, the typically solitary gameplay in a dark room (BTW play this with headphones). Jesus Christ, how did you (Hengikken) rope me in? I'd have risen from my chair at the first odd noise, and definitely at the door mysteriously opening, but even though I as the player am not given that liberty, the whole thing absolutely works! Gorgeous contrast of realism on the player-character's side vs the old-school display. Recommended!

Very well done. I love the game within a game effect for horror games because it tends to make you drop your guard and it is used really well here.
I really wish there was more, I'm excited to see if it gets expanded on
GREAT simple, but effective AND entertainingi recommend it
